I took my granddaughter for her first visit to McDonald's around 6:00 p.m. on Feb. 16, 2008. My sister brought her family which included 2 small children. There were at least 8 or 9 employees, all appeared to be teenagers except for one grown man. The store was not busy at all. It was hard to tell if anyone was in charge of anything. The store was filthy. One stall in the restroom was out of paper. The ketchup, drink area was filthy. The ketchup dispenser had obviously been empty for a long time making a very big mess when people pumped on it and it blew ketchup everywhere. My sister asked for some packets of ketchup and informed at least 3 employees(including the grown-up)that the pumps were empty. We were there for at least an hour, the pumps were never filled or the mess cleaned up. The play area had not been swept,tables wiped,or garbage emptied for a very long period. I know McDonald's does not want an image like this in Manchester, Tn., and I hope to take my granddaughter for many more visits. Hopefully, this will be addressed and not allowed to happen again.
