      Shido-Kan Karate, 600 Years of Tradition taught by Experts. We teach traditional martial arts in the Shido-Kan style of Okinawan Shorin-ryu Karate-do (Empty Hand Way) which originated from the islands of Okinawa more than 600 years ago. Children, Teens and Adults are welcomed to our family-friendly, clean and state-of-the art school. Head Instructor, Sensei Mitch Cooperman, 5th Dan, is a two-time national AAU Karate champion, and has been privileged to receive instruction from Hanchi Katsuya Miyahira, 10th Dan and President of the Okinawan Shorin-ryu Karate-do Association (worldwide) and his most senior student, Hanshi Seikichi Iha, 10th Dan, the highest ranking Okinawan master residing in the United States. Classes are held at our modern, clean, state-of-the-art school located at the MacArthur Ridge Shopping Plaza - please check our website for up-to-date class schedules. * Cardio Karate Classes (no uniform, no belts required for teens and adults) * Mommy & Me Fun & Fitness for 3-4 year olds.
