Mahomet-Seymour Community Unified School District is one of the leading providers of primary education in the United States. Located in Mahomet, Ill., the school district enrolls more than 5,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12. It comprises more than 15 elementary, middle and high schools, and special education centers. The school district utilizes various classroom strategies and practices, such as cooperative learning, peer tutoring, teacher guidance, team teaching, differentiated instruction, multiple path learning, looping classrooms, and teaming solutions. It also uses academic intervention and guidance, testing sessions, counseling, study skill work, monitoring procedures, partners in education program, the multiage classroom method, and an integrated curriculum. Additionally, Mahomet-Seymour Community Unified School District employs more than 100 teachers, social workers, night custodians, therapists, counselors, paraprofessionals and care managers.
