I hate the new colors on the bottom of the screen which tells you what you are watching when you first switch channels. The blue titles are almost unreadable unless you are standing next to the TV.

Worst Customer Service Ever... They run you around in circles with info you already knew, can't/ won't answer the questions that will actually benefit you, and will go as far as to make claim that your issues with them weren't issues in the first place. I just got off the phone with a customer service representative who practically was implying that I stole their equipment. I moved, they told me to take my equipment with and have installed. I received a call stating that since I did not return my equipment, I'd be charged... the same equipment they had installed for me... Somehow my equipment's serial number doesn't match up with what is listed on my account, and of coarse they can't give me any information to correct this and expect me to pay a fee for un-returned equipment I never had.
After reading all the negative reviews, I was very anxious about getting service. I had been having trouble receiving programs and went into the office on Fish Hatchery. An appointment was scheduled for today between 1:00 and 3:00. The service man arrived at 1:30, discovered that it was the box, installed a new one, free of charge and everything is working great! I couldn't have asked for a nicer serviceman. He was polite, friendly and professional. I am very pleased to be writing this POSITIVE review!
negative 10 stars for customer help. Wanted to replace a dysfunctional modem and pick it up at the Daniels street office. Phone service only makes you go in circles to accomplish this.

Charter bunch of crooks!!!they are always tryin to screw you over everytime you turn around !!you could be paid up for a year in advanced and they think you still own them money,i have never dealt with a bigger bunch of greedy dirtbags.the tech that came out to my house looked like he was on crack or meth.buyer beware.they will screw you over one way shape or form.oh and a bunch of liers to.go with dish or direct if you dont want to get SCREWED....

Do not use Charter Cable for Internet or phone service. I've had problems with both services for three years now. Currently, this bad service is interfering with my ability to take part in a teleconference that I need for my employment. The Internet is so flaky that I can't depend on it to run Skype or any other video communications. The phone service is so bad that it is regularly dropping calls, some of which are international phone calls. And check out the complaints made to the Better Business Bureau - there are thousands of them! Save yourself the bother and find an alternative, if you can. Charter holds a monopoly on cable services here in Madison. I wonder who got paid off to let that happen.

I have had very good service from Charter for Television and Internet since about 1995. Their automated telephone support system has been very helpful; yes, it is a bit cumbersome, and slow, to follow all the prompts and instructions but it DOES get the job done, and that's what is important to me. Their telephone support techs are always helpful the few times I have needed them. Chater's marketing and pricing structure I am not a fan of; but the service itself is very solid.
I feel sorry for anyone having to work for this company. They have a lot of great people but the owners and management have absolutely no idea how to handle customer service. The poor people answering the phones are given a script to follow and dare not deviate and think non their own. And the technicians are sent out to locations and try their best to work on problems management leaves them in the dark about. We've had issues for more than 1 month, and no one can solve the problem. I hope no one on the planet is looking to this company for a customer service business model, or their company will fail!

I must agree with all the previous comments. This company is truly terrible. I have just got connected to their service about 3 weeks ago, and paid my first bill online today. In the "My account" section I found a note, that "Your account is currently 33 days delinquent." I did not even live in this apartment 33 days ago, and my service was connected only 24 days ago, but my bill is already 33 days overdue. Unbelievable!

I'd recommend using any other cable provider. Charter is awful. My internet connection cuts out almost every day. Sometimes it's down for most of the day.Charter is expensive and the service is terrible.
This is a horribly run company! I was sent to a collection agency when in fact THEY OWED ME $300!!! So after my credit was ruined I was determined to get my money back. I returned my equipment only to have them FORGET to sent it to the main office. I drove 45min. each way 4 times to correct their mistakes (because nothing can be done over the phone), waited at least 6 months and called numerous times because they continued to "forget" to do things such as sending me my check...finally in June my check was sent out. To the wrong address of course, even though I specifically told them to send it to my new home. So now after having my credit score lowered dramatically, hours of being on the phone and waiting on hold and miles and miles of driving, I will finally get my check in 8 wks. Or so they say... I am not one to boycott or hold a grudge but I have never been so frustrated! I highly recommend that you do not use this company as I can assure you I will do the same.

worst cable company ever. customer service is terrible! they never got my bill right - always tried to over charge me. turned off my cable after a building audit - they said i was stealing service. this was shortly after i had it installed and had given them a check for $140.00! they then tried to charge me for turning it back on...unbelievable!! never again will i choose this cable provider, beware and go elsewhere!!!!

This is absolutely the worst cable company that I have ever dealt with. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. I have never been treated so poorly by a company as a new customer. Left them after 3 months!

Charter is absolutely the worst company to deal with. Worst PR, horrible service, they totally screwed up our bill month after month. Despite never missing a payment - on time always, we got threatening letters of disconnection and collection agency phone calls. Never acknowledged their mistakes or apologized. We were warned, but never heeded the warnings. Ask around if there is satisfaction with Charter. They are "the only game in town" for totally bundled package, but not worth it. Buyer beware!

They sent me to Fitchburg location to exchange a modem. Office was closed for 2 weeks, just a note on the door, no alternate location. When I called Charter for another location, she said she ran a line check on my modem. UH Thanks, but my modem is here in my car with me! It took about 15 minutes to get an alternate location. Needless to say, I called to confirm that they were actually available for me! Cable service is spotty, internet service is spotty and don't get me started on their website! Plus they spend all their time trying to get me to sign up for phone service. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I am 75 years+ years old. NEVER have I experienced such poor service from any company. This company is owned by one of the richest people in the world, the owner of MICROSOFT. What a joke!
Awful. Simply awful. They, in all seriousness, have not successfully completed a single appointment all year on the first try. They, without exception, are always late when they say they'll be at our house, usually by 3+ hours. They never call. They have, at least once, charged us for something we specifically asked to cancel. They once KNOWINGLY disconnected our internet when they shouldn't have, and if my roommate had not asked them as they were leaving, we would have had to re-wire it ourselves. The internet connectivity is spotty, and their service is awful. Avoid! The DMV is better.

This company is horrible. Don't work with them if you can avoid it. They raise my rates every few months. Plus, when you have a problem (which you will), their customer service is a joke.

Worst company I have ever had to work with. Cable cuts out about once an hour, they refuse to fix it. Avoid this company at all costs
