City of Madison Streets Division provides street maintenance services. It offers a wide range of services, such as collection and disposal of leaves and street and alley maintenance. The services provided by the division also include collecting and chipping brushes, sweeping streets, roadway sign maintenance and pavement striping. The division offers street maintenance services, including filling potholes, sealing cracks and seal coating. It also provides and snow removal and ice control services through coordination between several city agencies and private contractors. In addition, the division uses salt to control snow and ice on designated salt routes, including traffic arteries, bus routes and streets adjacent to schools and hospitals.
