First-classBetter than mostAbout what I expectedNot the worst...Disappointing

Highly Recommend! Create your own stir-fry by choosing rice, noodles, vegetables, meats, sauces, and so many more options! Then hand off your bowl for the chefs to cook and bring back to you. Service is always great, and they are very helpful during the 'building process' of your visit. They always answer questions and give suggestions of what goes well together. Excellent place, and also very reasonable prices!! If you're looking for a great place for dinner that won't cost you an arm and a leg, visit Flat Top Grill!!

Awesome -- if you have a lot of time

The food at Flat Top is great -- it's like a Mongolian stir fry, but with more options. The veggies are fresh, sauces are plentiful, and it's fun being able to create soups, salads, and wraps out of your stir fry. But be mindful that if you go at peak hours (lunch on weekends!), you will wait a LONG time for your food.

delicious!

I'd been to the Flattop in Evanston, IL, so I was very excited to see one open up in Madison. The food is delicious, and it puts other similar Asian buffet-style restaurants to shame. There is a wide assortment of ingredients you can pick from for your stir-fry, and being a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised to see Quorn, seitan, and other meat substitutes in addition to the usual tofu. There's about 20 or so different sauces to mix & match, and you can also have your stir fry with delicious roti bread, or made into a soup, salad, moo-shu wraps, etc. They are very accommodating to vegetarians or others with dietary restrictions. A great place to go with a group.
