Mattie Wells Primary School is located in Macon, Ga. It enrolls more than 400 students in grades kindergarten through two. Admissions are based on a combination of factors, including personal interviews with the students and parents, admission tests, recommendations from teachers, classroom visit, and other related information. The school s curriculum includes classes in English, Spanish, math, science and social studies. Computers are regularly used in all academic classes. The school has a parent-teacher association that participates in curriculum and student development activities. The student-teacher ratio in the school is 16-to-1. The student body comprises students from diverse ethnic backgrounds, including, Asian, Hispanic, Caucasian and African- American students.
