From the notification that a death has occurred to the final graveside prayers and beyond, our funeral home unites time honored traditions with the willingness and ability to grow and meet the needs of those we serve.

Business History

In 1941, the family owned business of W.T. Hedges, Sr., Walter P. Hedges and Billy Jr. Hedges, owned funeral homes in Iberia, Crocker, Waynesville, Stoutland, Richland and Meta. The Camdenton funeral home was established in 1954 and was managed by W.T. Hedges, Sr. and wife, Mary I. Hedges. Upon the death of W.T. Hedges, Sr. in 1960, Walter P. and Norma J. Hedges moved to Camdenton to run the family owned business. They later added Macks Creek and Osage Beach funeral homes to their Lake of the Ozarks locations. Tim Scott, a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1980, began managing the funeral homes in 1996. In 2007, he and his wife, Joy, purchased the business from Walter and Norma. Tim and Joy are proud to be the Lake of the Ozarks only home owned, family owned and operated funeral homes, crematories, cemeteries and monument company.
