Business History

Acres of Virginia, Inc., was established in 1991 by Thomas C. Brooks, Sr., CEO. Mr. Brooks is a licensed Land Surveyor with over 40 years of experience. He has served as Vice President and President of the Southern Chapter, as chairman of the Virginia Association of Surveyors Membership Committee, chairman of the Educational Supplement Fund Committee, the 2004, 2005 and 2006 Budget Assistant Treasurer, Secretary/Treasurer,Second Vice President, Editor of the Old Dominion Surveyor magazine and President. Mr. Brooks started his career in surveying with W. B. Sours & Associates in Hampton, Virginia.
