Dr. Vitoulis graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1995. He has been practicing family medicine and osteopathic manipulation since completing his residency at Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway, NY in 1998. Dr. Vitoulis has been in private practice since 1998 treating a wide array of medical conditions with an emphasis on the musculoskeletal system. His background as an osteopathic physician, in which special attention is given to the interrelationship between the musculoskeletal system and the well being of the whole body, has given him a holistic approach to treating his patients in a multidisciplinary environment. Osteopathic medicine is "a complete system of medical care with a philosophy of treating the whole person. This includes prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses, disease, and injuries in conjunction with using conventional medical practice such as prescription drugs and surgery if necessary, along with manual therapies. Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine, or D.O.'s, are fully licensed physicians and surgeons who practice the full scope of medicine."
