Being a customer of Ferrell Gas has been the worst experience of my life. I've been a customer for about 16 months now. I only use gas for heating during the winter months and pay for my order in advance everytime. The winter of 2014 went great until my last order. I received a bill for over 400 dollars for the delivery. I ordered 100 gallons at $2.49 to finish the winter out and paid upfront so there had to have been a mistake I thought. Sure enough, Ferrell Gas filled the entire 250 gallon tank and charged me the other 150 gallons at full price! So my bill had 100 gallons paid at $2.49 and 150 for $2.89 unpaid. So I called my local office in Lumberton and the rep said only a manager could correct the mistake and I would receive a call back. The only calls I received back were from their automated system telling me to pay for gas I didn't use, order, or pay for. This went on all spring and summer long. I did receive a call from one of their reps around June-July 2014, but was told only a manager could correct the mistake. Well, I ordered my first tank for this winter, low and behold, it was taken care of without a manager's approval. Funny how quickly mistakes get corrected when you're shelling out more money for another order. This winter of 2015 has been even worse. It's taking a week for me to get my order and I pay in advance everytime. We've already ran out twice and I called this past time with 15% in the tank. It's ridiculous. I will never order from Ferrell Gas again as this is the last penny they will receive from me and my family. The next call will be to pick up the tank in a few weeks. I recommend that people use their local gas companies if they want good service. Stay away from Ferrell Gas if you're in southeastern NC!
