Questionable company on all levels. What should have been an easy in ground pool install had one problem and delay after another. 6 week delay breaking ground with NO comminciation from Mike Barnes. He will tell you up front he does not do voicemail, no email no text which equals no communication. I was to the point of driving to Lumberton to get my deposit back. Wrong liner shipped and another 3 week delay. Mike said I should get a discount on the liner and had me call his SC supplier who said any discounts would be given by Mike. Of course Mike did not give me a discount but he was quick to remind me that he was losing money on my pool. This was a reminder I heard for a year or more. Concrete poured in thunderstorm leaving half the concrete slabs with dark stains. Only half the bad concrete replaced and now stuck with crappy concrete with paint on it. Paid concrete contractor $600 for additional concrete and Mike tried to collect this again at the end of the job. Really? Mike told me to pay the contractor directly which I did and he tries to collect again. Last month (December 2016) no water flowing thru the jets and Mike says I need a new pump (another $500 plus). Luckily I finally got smart and took the pump to Hallmark Pools and all I needed was a $4.93 seal. To think Mike was trying to scam me out of another $500 plus is sickening. I love my pool but if I had to do it all again I would stay away...far far away from Family Pools. Mike has serious work ethic issues and for the money, you need to be 100% confident in your contractor and this is not the one.

Family Pools and Spas was outstanding. Not only did I get a great pool installation but great customer service. My pool is over a year old and every time I call I continue to get help and knowledgable service. This company is awesome. If you want a fantastic pool, knowledgable people and excellent customer service, this is the team for you!!

A local favorite, I would highly recommend Family Pools and Spa's, I found them to be very helpful, knowledgeable very customer oriented. I got the best pool and installation for my money.Thank You Family Pools.
