Established in 1991, Shaughnessy Elementary School serves more than 400 students in pre-kindergarten through grade four. The school offers a literature-based curriculum that focuses on math, science, social studies and English. It operates art, music and physical education departments. Shaughnessy Elementary School s facility features a cafeteria, parent room, gymnasium, play area, and science and computer laboratories. The school provides occupational, speech and physical therapies. In addition, it offers before- and after-school tutoring programs. Shaughnessy Elementary School organizes a range of sports and recreational activities. The school also has a parent-teacher organization.
