Ash Grove Cement, headquartered in Overland Park, Kan., operates cement and lime plants in nine states throughout the United States. A pioneer of the limestone and cement industries, the company was incorporated in Missouri in 1882 as the Ash Grove White Lime Association. The company operates one lime plant with total production capacity of 118,000 tons per year, a quarry operation in British Columbia and a variety of subsidiary businesses. Its lime products are used in many ways, including steel and paper manufacturing, municipal water treatment, agriculture and construction. Ash Grove Cement is located in cities such as Louisville, Neb.
