I have lived in this community for 2 1/2 years now and when my lease is up, I will be moving. I would rather live in a 300 sq ft home than this place. There has been at least 8-10 managers at this place during that time; who knows, I really lost count. However, current mgt has been here almost a year, I think but there have been several different asst mgrs. during the last year. I have several complaints against this community 1) parking at my building, 2) when things need fixed, it takes forever for it to be taken care of. 3) my son was threatened by the upstairs neighbor in front of mgt and the cops were not called and when I called the corporate office, I was basically called a liar and nothing was done for me to feel safe in my own home until the upstairs man finally moved. 4) Rent is outrageous compared to other communities in the area when you compare sq ft and amenities. 5) there is no loyalty to those who have lived here over the years. 6) last year we could not use the pool regularly because they did not have lifeguards on duty , so the 2/5 rule applies - always 2 ppl in pool and no more than 5 at a time. Why even have a frickin pool??? 7) recently they signed a deal with Spectrum and I have had to move my living room around multiple times for them to come in over a period of a few months... mind you, I have 4 big bookcases that I had to move around , and the TV. At one point , they were supposed to come and fix a hole about the size of 5x7 behind my TV. … my living room was torn apart for 2 weeks because the contractors cancelled . I then advised the office asst mgr that I would not allow them to come back in my home for another visit. I was tired of my home looking like a wreck. They agreed and SAID they would note the file. A couple of weeks later, I got a notice that the office Mgr, maintenance mgr and spectrum would walk around for a WALK THRU only to see what apts still needed to be fixed. I came home from work early to find a strange man in my apt with keys to my apt supposedly fixing the wall . The note said nothing about anyone fixing anything it was a WALK THRU only and mgt was to be with the Spectrum contractors the whole time. When I called the office to complain, I was hung up on, so my son and I drove to the office and was going to complain and was confronted with the maintenance men who "claimed" they were there the whole time the contractors were - HA - really??? then why did I come home to a strange man in my house alone ???? Mgt was not in the office at the time , of course... every time I have called lately, they are never there and I am met with incompetence. I was told the mgr would call me - hmmm..... every time I am told that, it rarely happens. 8) my house usually smells of pot because there are several in my bldg. that smoke it and I have called to complain and they tell me there is nothing that they can do. Thankfully, that has subsided somewhat when the upstairs crazy man moved out. I pay a lot of money to live here with little benefit.... a pool you can only use occasionally, shotty upgrades, a very small make shift gym..... mgt and I am mainly referring to Brookside Properties is a joke , at best.
