      First time visit

      This was my first time here at KumarI, my experience here was great. The staff was courteous, & Dr. Gupta was knowledgeable in her area of work. I would definitely recommend my family and friends.

      Excellant Doctor! Great Experience!

      Dr. Gupta was thorough and answered all of my questions. I felt very comfortable asking questions and she answered them completely. I left her office reassured that all was well!

      Great first visit with Dr. Gupta!

      My son has CVI and Dr. Gupta was recommended to us by his TVI. We had an excellent appointment and were very impressed by her knowledge and willingness to collaborate with us and his TVI during the appointment. Thank you!

      My experience was very informative and over all great

      This was my first time at this office and with Dr. Gupta. It was also the first time my daughter who is 5 has been to an eye doctor. Everyone in the office was very friendly and helpful. They made my nervous little girl feel comfortable. The doctor explained what she was going to do and why. After the exam Dr. Gupta sat and explained everything to me that she thought was going on and how to try and fix it. It was a very pleasant experience from the time we walked through the front door till we walk out the door.

      Comforting appointment with a new provider

      This was our first visit with Dr. Gupta. She took her time, listened to my daughter's medical history, and helped obtain her medical records from a previous provider while my daughter's eyes dilated.

      Ashima Kumar Gupta, MD Dr. Gupta is a board-certified Ophthalmologist, specializing in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus. Dr. Gupta already has an extensive resume with teaching positions and leadership roles that include serving as Director of the Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Service from 2006-2013 at the State University of New York at Downstate in Brooklyn, NY. She completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the George Washington University in Washington, DC and her fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. Dr. Gupta is known for her compassionate patient care and his received several awards regarding her expertise. Giving back is important to Dr. Gupta. She has volunteered her time and shared her expertise on many international medical missions as well as locally with the Downtown Lion's Club. In addition, she serves on the board at the Visually Impaired Preschool Services to assist in providing the best services to these children. She also represents the Kentucky Medical Association on the Council for Medicaid Services appointment by the Governor.
