just HOW do you do business with someone who NEVER answers the phone?

I took a coyote pelt to Carter's in November 2014, put down a $30.00 deposit and was told it would be ready by May 13, 2015. 2 1/2 to 3 years later, they call me and tell me that it is finally ready after I was told it would only take 6 months. I asked them to reduce the price since I had to wait so long to get the pelt but they said "oh sorry we cannot do that."



Today, I just got a phone call telling me I could have my deposit back if I did not want the pelt and they would sell the pelt.... Are you kidding me???? If it takes me 2 to 3 years to pick up, you should hold it as I have been waiting and waiting and waiting.....

If you want to be ripped off then Carters is the place to go. They have had my dear mount for over two years. On the rare occasion that I can reach someone all they have are excuses of personal sob storries for why they have not done the work but miraculously they are always working on my mount.

I took two deer there this year. The help behind the counter was friendly and curtious, she helped us answering questions and the people who was doing the processing was very friendly also. This was the highlights because of them of course wanting your money. So the first deer they called us a few days later and I thought well hell, this is a pretty good place. Wrong. I took the second deer there before opening the meat and dropped it off. Well once again the help there was awesome, but this time I never got a call about the meat. Oh they forgot was the excuse. Then the meat we got from the first deer was full of hair, which I can see on the main meats, steaks, etc.. But it was in the burger. Now it has been 5 weeks since dropping off the second & we are still waiting on the summer sausage. I have called, and the man answering was very rude and unhelpful, being a prick. Ill drive the hour fifteen minute trip for now on to Webbs next time I get the deer for better service.

They do a good job, but I am still waiting for my deer that I had dropped off November 15th, 2012 and it's almost August 2013!!!!

I have taken two deer to get mounted here. They were very proffessional and polite. both the mounts look great. The only problem is you can see the stitching on the back of one but you really have to look hard. I have used other taxidermist but I will most likely bring my next deer here to get mounted.

I dropped my deer off and they said the deer meat would take 3-4 days and the summer sausage would take up to three weeks. They would call me. I called a couple of times and the meat was ready in a little over 3 weeks. They never called, I had to.The sausage took over 12 weeks - 3 months! Dropped my deer off Sept. 22nd and got my sausage on Dec 4th after asked several times and putting pressure on. They kept making excuses and being rude. Then finally I got 8.7 lbs of summer sausage when I paid for 10. Doesn't sound like much but that is 13% of a rip off.Never go to this place for anything unless you crave bad service and being ripped off.
