Stretcher Bar Warehouse offers several varieties of canvas stretcher bars to meet your needs. Our bars are high quality kiln dried pine, and have a high level of dimensional stability, which describes the ability of wood to stay straight. Longer bars are sectioned together using finger splines that greatly increase the bars resistance to twist and bow. The sectioning also makes the bars stronger, so they resist bending more than one piece construction. The concept is similar to why plywood is so strong.
