Dr Shenassa,urologist, is a very nice man,with a good bedside manner. I have a very painful urologicaldisease that affects up to 10% of men with the average age onset is 55 yrs. When the doctor saidI need to see a specialist for this disease,which would cost thousands of dollars, I told him I am unemployed,lost my insurance and family doctor as a result. I asked him if he could at least provide some relief for the pain. He responded that he NEVER prescribes medication for pain. I have already been taking 800mg Motrin,which is ineffective. All he said was he was sorry. I have never seen a doctor in my life who would not give asuffering patient with legitimate pain,some medication to alleviate the pain.Dentists gives anyone Vicodin for extractions, but Dr Shenassa would not even give me Ultram. When he said NEVER, I shuddered at imagining patients with cancer or post-operative pain. If you have pain for any urological condition,avoid Dr Shenassa.
