Lorain Community Elementary is a charter, privately-owned, public school that serves students in kindergarten through grade four. The school follows the curriculum guidelines of Ohio's Academic Content Standards. It employs a staff of state-certified educators. Lorain Community Elementary offers a variety of educational programs in science, mathematics, language arts and social studies. The school also provides instructional services in music, art, physical education and computer science. It is a part of Constellation Schools, which manages elementary and middle schools. Constellation Schools also operates visual and performing arts centers and a special school for disabled children. Its schools offer speech, occupational and physical therapies.
