TERRIBLE!! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK!! We agree with the other comments. My boyfriend got the "meatloaf", which was burnt all the way around, tasted terrible, wasn't even sure if it was Ground Beef, took 2 bites and sent it back. The mashed potatoes were gray and had absolutely no flavor. His plate looked like something they would serve in the County nursing home or a prison. We had to share a side of gravy that, sad to say, was the most appetizing item between us. My chicken tasted like it had been marinating in whiskey for a year or more, couldn't eat the nasty potatoes. My boyfriend said his chicken noodle soup was OK, so probably out of a can, and our salads were nothing more than lettuce with rotten tomatoes as garnish. No meat, cheese, or croutons. I had French Onion soup. It was OK. We don't like to complain or send food back, but the owner acted so surprised that we were unhappy with our "dinner". We still had to pay for our pop, salads, and soups though, which I did not understand

Hours are short,parking lot is like a minefield,food is better at County Nursing Home-oh wait that closed-get the hint.

Fantastic breakfast in early am !!!!

This has got to be one of the worst restaurants I have ever eaten in. Their sign says "Pete's" or something, yet their menu says Beachcliff. Their prices are low, indeed. However, so is the quality of food. For starters, they're open really stupid hours, some days only until 2 I think. I went once with a friend, who swore by it, and I ordered an omelet. It was acceptable, but that's it. The potatoes were awful and tasted like everything else on the grill that had been cooked before them. Then I made the stupid mistake of going back only because I was starving and it was there. They didn't have the first two things on the menu that I wanted. So I ordered baked cod or "scrod" as they call it here, which is an acceptable name considering it was completely uncooked in the middle and chewy like something from outer space. The clam chowder was a cup of flour and lard with some onion powder and minced clams thrown in. The vegetables were uncooked. The mac and cheese was Stouffer's (I would know that lousy taste anywhere). Icing on the cake? There WAS no cake. They have absolutely no desserts other than some crappy rice pudding that they couldn't even be bothered to throw some raisins in (probably Uncle Ben's boxed), even though their menu boasts Mama Jo's pies. Why, you ask? Because they're only open a few hours a day and weren't selling them. Perhaps they weren't selling because the food and service is so lousy. Typical lousy restaurant for Vermilion/Lorain area.
