13 REASONS NOT TO USE CARPET WISE

1.Used my floor vents as a debris pit
2.Told installers THREE times we wanted our subfloors screwed down where they were squeeky and loose but they ignored us.
3.Transitions were not installed professionally. Left a raw corner edge to hang out from under baseboard.
4.Never put an edge transition on where tile stopped to our existing floor.
5.New laminate cuts around floor vents are at least 1/2" to 1" away from edge of vents. VERY POORLY done!
6.I asked them to send a professional duct cleaning service over to vacuum vents, instead they sent over one of their helpers and he used a shop vac. Now my vent whistle when the heater is on. I have a BRAND NEW furnace and it better not get ruined or have debris down to it.
7. They lost some of the baseboard pieces
8.They sent someone to fix the transitions and he glued two down with Liquid Nails and then up and left and never returned to fix the last two.
9.It hasn't even been a month since the installation, and already one of my tiles cracked along with grouting cracking.
10.Self leveling cement stuff was only placed in sparatic areas where deep gouged out areas of subfloor was left untouched.
11.I have invited these people back into my house 6 times to fix these messes. Two times were a no show, Three times they couldn't get their crap together to get the right people here to fix things right, and one time they ignored my invite.
12. I want my money back and they are refusing. Bad customer service. Don't waste your money. I'd be very careful.
13. Friends and family are appauled at how horrible this all has turned out.

We have been using Carpet Wise/Flooring America for more than 15 years. We won't go anywhere else! Sam the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. We have had 3 homes in the times we have worked with Sam and his staff and each time we have built a house, replaced carpet, had new flooring installed (wood, laminate and linoleum) the staff is polite, respectful of our home and do great work. They even fixed a seam on carpet they didn't install for us at no extra cost! We are about 45 minutes away from the store now but still return to them for our flooring needs, it is worth the drive!

Sam, Brian, and the Carpetwise staff are very prompt in giving assistance, competing quotes, scheduling installation, and completing the work to the customer's standards. Prices beat their competitors, and customer care is excellent!

I have been a small customer of CarpetWise for 7 or 8 years. Sam Chesher is a man of deep integrity and honesty, a true salesman and not an order taker. He asked questions, found out what I really needed and came up with a great "outside the box" solution that saved me lots of money and gave me a better product than I thought I could ever have.

Eric came to the house within hours of being called, came again with samples the next day and scheduled the replacement of the bathroom floor to be done in the next 48 hours. The work done by Dennis and crew involved the scraping up the old flooring, applying leveling compound, sanding, laying the new vinyl, R & R of the baseboards, reseating the toilet and resetting adjoining carpet. It was done within hours without leaving a mess. The cooperation with Farmers Insurance, the quality vinyl furnished, and the installation was excellent. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased.

Great selection of stone glass mix mesh . plus had great prices on TONS of tile had it in one day. also the rented me all the equipment for 50 bucks. Erik was super knowledgable and mike was super nice. with this service next time im going to use there install crews

I have had the pleasure of working with Carpet Wise for over 8 years and have always found the company very up standing to do business with. It is a pleasure doing business with this company and I look forward to doing more in the future.

Don't be penny wise and pound foolish like I was - buy from somebody else!Basically Carpet Wise in Longmont is a group of slick sales guys (Sam especially) with absolutely no ethics who will tell you anything to get your money. Once they have your money, good luck getting anything out of them. I thought I was getting a good deal, only to realize later that they installed a much lower quality and lighter weight carpet than the sample they had shown me during the sale. Their installers did a terrible job on the thresholds and seams and I had to watch them like a hawk to keep pointing out obvious problems. They smashed up my walls while trying to hurry up along the edges. None of these issues got their attention - they're just rude and annoyed by you once they have your money.Our carpet is now coming apart and when I called to ask them to look into why I'm having these problems, they just made more empty promises and I never heard back from them.
