George Washington Carver Elementary School is a learning center that is a part of the Long Beach Unified School District, which is one of the largest school systems in California that educates more than 90,000 students in nearly 95 public schools. It has an annual enrollment of over 475 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school organizes a variety of cocurricular activities, such as musical concerts, talent shows, family nights and career days. George Washington Carver Elementary School has business and educational alliances with Albertsons, Pavillions, In-N-Out, McDonald s and the Long Beach Police Department. Its staff includes a nurse, counselor, resource specialist, psychologist, physical education instructor, librarian, music professional, speech pathologist and classroom teachers.
