Transco Railway Products manufactures and installs thermal insulation systems for electrical generating stations. Products fall into the categories of engineered thermal insulation systems utilized in the nuclear power industry, passive fire protection systems for protecting a variety of industrial environments and specialized fabrication for nuclear applications, including radiation shielding, composite systems and stainless steel assembly fabrication. The company also provides installation services and field technical support. Transco insulating products are used in every nuclear power plant in the United States and in more than 200 nuclear power plants in more than 15 countries worldwide. Transco Products acts as a parent company for a few subsidiaries also dealing in the insulation industry, including Transco Railway Products and Advance Thermal. Founded in 1936, Transco Railway Products is based in Chicago and operates a branch office in Logansport, Ind.
