Bear River Health Department provides basic health services for residents in more than three counties, including Cache, Rich and Box Elder, Utah. The department s services include prevention and controlling disease and disability, to protect individuals, community and environment, and promoting, maintaining health and lifestyle of the residents. It also offers services, such as drinking water, and underground storage tanks. Bear River Health Department also provides health and safety education in the community, schools, work sites and among health care providers. Its other services include AIDS and HIV counseling and testing, cancer screening, communicable disease control, blood tests, family planning, prenatal services, and tuberculosis elimination programs. The department also offers alcohol and drug prevention and treatment services, and adult outpatient services. It also provides a special supplemental nutrition and education program for women, infants and children.
