Ellio s has been producer frozen pizzas for children for more than 40 years. Ellio s was founded in 1963 in Great Neck, N.Y. The nine-slice familiar rectangular Ellio s shape was introduced in 1967. Each Ellio s slice can be easily broken into three pieces, so kids can eat the whole pizza or just a piece at a time. Ellio s pizzas have no crusts, more cheese and a milder tomato sauce, which is favored by its younger consumers. Ellio s products include cheese pizza and pepperoni pizza. Ellio s pizza is available throughout the Northeast United States. McCain Foods purchased the Ellio s pizza brand and production plant in 1988. McCain Foods USA is based in Lodi, N.J.
