Agreed, Ophthalmologists are trained to provide the full spectrum of eye care, from prescribing glasses and contact lenses to performing complex and delicate eye surgery. They may also be involved in research about eye diseases and treatments. Some ophthalmologists will acquire additional fellowship training in a subspecialty area of ophthalmology, such as retina, cornea, glaucoma, pediatrics, oculoplastics, refractive surgery, uveitis, pathology, or neuro-ophthalmology. Seems to be the way to go iff you have to. Get the most qualified practitioner as posable.

This location was fabulous. The staff and OD took us right in that morning. The teenager needed glasses for school. Dr. Snyder helped mother and teen ager patiently and clearly. Great!!!!
