Provided by YP.comMy mechanic in Ithaca said I needed a new transmission and sent me to Clarks. Wayne drove the can and said what I really needed was a tune up. He tuned it up, saved me thousands, and I have been using him since then.

Provided by YP.comI had a similar experience with Clark's Transmission as the previous review. Paid like $1800 on a tranny rebuild for my van, it came back nearly 4 weeks later, higher milage and nearly on E. not a full year later, the spider gear broke, they had to repair it under the warranty. they had it for 4 weeks, we have had to constantly call them and inquire on the status. they said they couldn't locate a tranny case for it anywhere, they were checking the salvage yards. then a family member asked me if i had gotten the van back yet because he saw them driving it the day before. not once did they say that they had test driven it yet, they told my huband earlier today that it would be ready for pick up this afternoon, but by the sounds of it, it was most likely ready sooner. we had just filled the gas tank prior to it breaking down, and it had better not be under half when we pick it up as i will send them a request to reimburse me. test driving is one thing, burning up an entire tank of gas and driving my vehicle for their personal use is another. it's the least they could do. they are damn lucky i didn't get a rental, which they would have had to cover under warranty. i will post the status of the milage and gas gauge after we go pick it up, but i will never send a vehicle there ever again. UPDATE: Just picked my van up and no wonder they said we could pick it up AFTER HOURS WHEN NO ONE WOULD BE AT THE SHOP-the gas gauge was in the same spot it was when we dropped it off, but the problems are far worse, there are no BRAKES NOW, looks to be a nicked line, a piece of metal debris flew out from the undercarriage when i was following home behind my husband, it is running horrible and there is a nasty shimmy in the front end. They will be hearing from me first thing tomorrow morning. YOU BREAK IT YOU BUY IT......they damn sure will make it right, and not in their shop-i will send it to a REAL AUTO SHOP and they will be billed for the repairs directly related to whatever RAY CHARLES they handed a wrench and sledge hammer to that repaired my vans tranmission.

Wayne Clark is a good and honest man with fair prices. The good ole fashioned type, proud of his work, tells the truth, and prices fairly. Would recommend to anyone. JP. Ithaca New York

Provided by YP.comTook our car to him...he had it for almost 4 weeks to rebuild tranny...less than 3 months afterwards the transmission died again.Had him tow it back to his garage...rebuilt it a second time. This time he had it almost a month and a half...with 3000 MORE miles on it when we picked it up than when it went to him!!!!!
9 months later the transmission died a THIRD time!!Took it this time to another transmission specialist shop and they tore the tranny apart and found that the first guy never changed alot of the parts inside like he claimed he did!!!
NEVER take your vehicle to this CROOK!!!HE COST US over $1600.....an unreliable vehicle and a year and a half of hell!!
Wayne Clark's Transmission Service is one of the best and most experienced transmission shops in the whole area, bar none. Many, many years experience.
