Always friendly and helpful staff. Great mom and pop store. Great place to go for lessons of all kinds.

Not trustworthy. At all. Didn't pass the questions test. I wouldn't buy a accessories here. Overpriced and surprisingly snobby considering that there wasn't a decent guitar in the place. Was hoping to find a hidden gem....disappointed.

Not much going on here. Very low rent instruments. Nothing special here. Didn't seem like they care about stocking decent strings or anything, very oddball mix. If you're looking for more than something for a kid to beat on I would look elsewhere. They also advertise repairs on this site buy appear to not offer them...As someone who's been playing music for 20+ years I like to be able to get my gear fixed at a smaller store, not g.c. or somewhere. What ever happened to the mom & pop music shop?!

Great place. Very Honest. Excellent prices. My daughter needed a Viola. The school was no longer renting them. We were not ready to purchase. We were SOOO fortunate to find Family Music Center. They rent Viola's! They even gave us a few to take home (of course with a credit card # as collateral) for my daughter to try. She chose the one she liked and we began the rental agreement. When the terms came to an end, we discussed purchasing an upgrade instrument. Family Music connected us to the folks in NJ who send them their instruments. I spoke to them by phone and with my card card as collateral (nothing was actually charged) they sent three Viola's for my daughter and her music teacher to review. We kept them for two full weeks. The music teacher was AMAZED by the quality and the price. We paid $500 for a beautiful Viola, with the bow, case, etc. The music teacher said is was easily worth $1,000 to $1,200 dollars. This instrument has been a HUGE blessing and NO problems for 4 years!!

I took my 9 year old son for drum lessons at Family Music. The drum instructor, Joe Cellini, was awesome. He is very nice and professional and was great with my son. I felt very comfortable and we have continued lessons. We are very happy with our lessons with Joe.
