      The mission of SheMD is to deliver outstanding gynecology and medical aesthetics services to the residents of the Little Neck and Douglaston neighborhoods of Queens, New York City, New York, in addition to the Great Neck area of Nassau County. Dr Meryl E. Kahan, MD, FACOG, launched SheMD in 2023 with the goal of providing women with compassionate and comprehensive care.Dr. Kahan brings a wealth of training and experience to her role. She began her studies at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, before completing her medical degree at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York.Patient-centered care is a hallmark of SheMD, and those who entrust Dr. Kahan with their care appreciate the time she takes to get to know her patients as distinct individuals. These connections enable Dr. Kahan to create a custom-tailored approach for each set of needs.Wellness exams are the starting point for womens health care. These visits offer women the chance to get Pap smears and other screenings. They also receive information on how to enhance their overall health and wellness.Dr. Kahan sees patients spanning from adolescence through menopause and beyond. She has a special interest in menopause care, hormone therapy and management, and sexual dysfunction.
