Renting at Hertz has been by far the worst rental experience ever. The first time I rented from your lithia springs location I reserved my car online. However when I arrived at the store at my reserved time I was told they did not have a car for me but they would let me know when one became available. The staff didn't even bother to locate a vehicle at another location or anything. This last time I tried to give them a second chance I reserved my vehicle six days ahead of time and set my arrival time for 9:00am right when the store opened. When I got there again they did not have the vehicle I reserved but instead offered to "upgrade" me to a full size at "no charge", like they were doing me a favor by not having the gas conservative vehicle I reserved and having to put me in the only other type vehicle they had available. On top of that I was told that the full size they had for me was due for an oil change and that it would take up to 20 minutes to be completed. After about 45 minutes and 5 customers later I got a update from the staff that the oil changing place did not have a filter for my vehicle but they just got one in so my vehicle would not be ready for another 40 minutes. Now keep in mind my wife and three children are riding around in our car this whole time because of the last experience I had with Hertz. So my wife my 9 yr old, 2yr old, and 4 month old are out in the car in June in Georgia because of the negligence of the staff and manager of the lithia springs Hertz location. While waiting every customer that came with me at 9 am and after me which was I would say about 12-15 people all got a vehicle and have gone. My vehicle that I reserved 6 days out for 9 am was not ready until 12 pm. 12 pm so for 3 hours my family had to sit in our vehicle running the a/c so not to pass out and running our gas because of Hertz. I waited for over 3 hours on my vehicle and within that 3 hours not one time did the " branch manager" even talk to me about anything! The only compensation that was offer but only after I confronted the "branch manager" in his office about the situation and asked for some type of professional ethical standard to be upheld, was an adjustment of the return time from 9 to 12pm. Yeah like they didn't have to do that anyways, I didn't even get the car until 12. Then as a slap in the face he offered to take off 20 dollars. 20 DALLORS I ran through more that 20 dallors in fuel keeping my 4 month old son alive for three hours while waiting on my vehicle. I will never ever ever use another Hertz or any affiliate of Hertz. Worst experience ever, and by far the sorriest excuse for a "manager" that I've ever seen.

Got stuck with a compact after having reserved a full size for Fourth of July weekend. Vehicle reeked of weed and was not cleaned. Told it was the last car available. Meanwhile people came in after me and were called by name and given their reservations. Tried to trade my vehicle at 5 other locations on the way to my destination at no avail. Just turned vehicle in and the rude rep offered no consolation whatsoever. I was told to have a good day and that I would recieve a call at a later time to discuss my complaint. Disgusted.
