      With a location in Lisbon, N.Y., United Helpers is a multifaceted service organization that owns nearly 25 facilities for older adults and people with disabilities. Established in 1898, it serves more than 1,000 people each day. The organization is one of the largest providers of health care services and employs over 900 local individuals. United Helpers delivers over 12,000 meals annually to home-based seniors through its Meals-on-Wheels program. Its mental health services include housing assistance and case management. The organization s home services include assistance with housekeeping, meal preparation, medications, bathing and grooming. United Helpers operates skilled nursing campuses that specialize in short- and long-term rehabilitation services for people suffering from Alzheimer's and other dementias. In addition, the organization provides physical and occupational therapy, speech and language pathology, psychiatry, dentistry, podiatry, respite care and pharmacy services.
