The Atlantic County Women's Center is a nonprofit social service agency that empowers and supports women, children and families. The center provides several services for divorced, separated, unemployed, underemployed, widowed and low-income women. It offers informative and educational training, computer classes, resume writing, life skills, job internet search awareness and interviewing skills. In addition, the Atlantic County Women's Center offers immediate telephone advice, on-site consultation visits, health and safety-related training and health supervision for children, as well as organizes several activities and events. The center also recruits, screens, trains, certifies and monitors family day care providers. It maintains a location in Northfield, N.J.
