My daughter has been attending Miss Ali's Montessori for 6 months now, and she absolutely loves it there! There is no other facility that I would trust more to care for my little girl while I work. I love the curriculum, the environment, and especially the teachers! My daughter is 26 months old, and she can count to fifteen!! I love that she is in an environment where she is engaged, challenged but not strained, and actively enjoys learning and discovering. It's a wonderful program!

I love love love this school! ...

I love love love this school! I have a 2 year old girl who goes there and all she wants to do is go to school. It is so structured and their philosophy on teaching is amazing. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants their child to have a great education and have such caring people take care of your child. Miss Melissa is the most fabulous teacher and Miss Ali is so nice and straight to the point.

Worst School

I have to agree that this school is the worst Montessori School. Not only in Utah, but anywhere I have lived. Miss Ali is so cold. I honestly have no idea why she got into working with children in the first place. She seems like she hates kids. Not only a horrible school, but way over priced. 99% of the staff is not Montessori trained. It is true what Allan said, they discipline children by bear hugging them basically until they are exhausted. In my opinion, its borderline abuse. Montessori has a wonderful teaching idea, but you will not find it here, only strict rules and cold teachers. I would NEVER let my kids step foot in that school again.

A mixed bag

There are some positive things, especially for younger children. The facilities are nice & the program fits well with what children need for the most part. Not recommended for kids after 1st grade. However, it is a very rigid school especially for the parents. As a parent you will be nitpicked & nickel and dimed until you want to pull your hair out. The rule list is endless: uniforms, lunches, snow clothes, check in, paper work, how to park,, where to stand. I am not exaggerating. The best part is that they will clearly tell you that they can't encompass all the rules which means that they add new ones all the time - just when you think you have it down. The communication about my children's progress is awful. Which is funny because they surely communicate every time you deviate from their rules. The teacher's are kind to the children (it does feel at times a bit "Stepford-y" I do feel that they have a safe atmosphere. Consider your own needs before signing up.

This school is very bad!

I have nothing good to say about this school. My daughter did not like it at all. She would cry when I dropped her off and cry when I would pick her up. She is now about a mile a way at Kids Village and loves it!! It is pretty much the opposite of The Montessori school in every way, including cost. She runs in and barely says bye to me when we get there because she is so excited to go. Just read the reviews of the two schools and the choice will be obvious. From my experience the owner is not nice and not interested in helping families or kids. Do not take your kids to this school!

I cringe with guilt when I think about having sent my children here... it was a nightmare =(

I can't even begin to explain how awful this school is. My children were treated unethically... my husband and I were too! Miss Ali Dances, the school's owner, is truly one of the most unkind women I have ever known. Her rigid rules are absolutely unbending, and extraordinarily RIDICULOUS! My husband and I both missed several days (individually) of work because we arrived with our four small children only a few minutes late. After getting all four of my preschoolers ready for the day and making the 35 minute trek to the school and to my work, that woman actually had the audacity (on more than one occasion) to send us away and therefore miss our work days. I honestly have so many horror stories it would make a mother's stomach turn, but I haven't the time to go into great detail. If you are looking for a good preschool for your children, PLEASE do not send your sweet child to Lindon's "Montessori" School! Did I neglect to mention that the children are required to whisper ALL DAY?

A warm loving and academically fantastic school

My children (near 6 and nearly 4) love this school. They love the classrooms and the playground, they love their teachers and (as corny as it sounds) they love learning. My older child is spelling at a grade 7 level and reading Nancy Drew. My younger child knows her alphabet can count to over 100 and is starting to read. Both children love being at school and the teachers and some of the warmest and most loving people I have met. I can not recommend this school more highly.

Just the best school

I have two children enrolled in the Montessori Learning Center (5 1/2 and nearly 4). The older child is reading chapter books and spelling at a grade seven level and the younger child knows the alphabet can count to over 100 and is starting to read. But the academic achievements of the children is not the most amazing part of this school it is the love and concern and warmth of the teaching staff that make it a wonderful place to send children. The owner (Miss Ali) and her staff could not do more to make my children feel valued, loved and welcomed a the school. Over all a beautiful place to be educated!
