Established in 1926, PATCO Speedline is an urban transit system that is operational in New Jersey. It serves more than 38,000 people each day. The organization operates stations in Lindenwold, Ashland, Woodcrest, Haddonfield, Westmont, Collingswood, Ferry Avenue, Broadway and City Hall. PATCO Speedline offers various fare programs for adults, children and senior citizens. Its cars feature public address systems for station and service announcements. The organization operates two-way radio communication systems with a central control center. PATCO Speedline maintains a staff of more than 325 employees. It also has an over 35-member police force. The organization is a part of the Delaware River Port Authority, which owns and operates the Benjamin Franklin, Walt Whitman, Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross bridges.
