      The University of Nebraska State Museum is one of the leading research and educational science museums in the United States that operates a planetarium and Morrill Hall. It maintains a collection of masks, ornaments, bags and bowls from Africa, South America, Egypt and eastern Asia. The museum operates anthropology, botany, entomology, parasitology and zoology divisions. The University of Nebraska State Museum also exhibits floor designs. In addition, it organizes various social events and planetarium shows. The museum offers gallery and educational programs and membership opportunities. Established in 1871, the University of Nebraska State Museum collects and interprets natural, geological and anthropological history.
