Operational for more than 130 years, Colorado Department of Corrections is a provider of public safety services. Based in Limon, Colo., it focuses on providing public safety, reducing crime and making neighborhoods safer. The department renders services, such as job analysis/announcements, examination construction/administration, entering/updating applicant data records and compilation of statistics, to name a few. Colorado Department of Corrections manages and operates 19 secure prison facilities and the Youthful Offender Sytem (YOS). The department's facilities include Arrowhead Correctional Center (ACC), Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility (AVCF) and Colorado State Penitentiary (CSP).
