Established in 1979, R.D. Head Elementary School is located in Lilburn, Ga., offers education to students in grades kindergarten through six. The school s curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, language arts, music, computer, health and physical education. It offers various extracurricular activities, such as accelerated reader program, individualized reading, math program, academically gifted classes, vegetable and flower gardening and ornamental grass testing program. The school provides an accelerated reader program that is a computer-based reading program. Its media center provides materials to support the curriculum. Its resources include print, nonprint and electronic materials. Its resources include more than 12,000 books, over 20 computers with the Internet access, videos and subscriptions to professional journals and magazines.
