- Infectious DiseasesNo one coming to our office should feel like they are being exposed to illness. We follow the CDC guidelines for the management of all infectious diseases by adhering to their current recommendations. To help reduce and prevent the spread of germs in our office, we are taking the following measures...
- ImmunizationsColposcopy is a simple procedure performed in our office that lasts approximately 10-15 minutes and may cause mild discomfort in some women. You are positioned on the examination table like you are for a Pap smear, and acetic acid (such as common table vinegar) is placed on the cervix. Your provider will use a colposcope — a large microscope positioned 10-12 inches outside of the body to view your cervix. A bright light on the end of the colposcope lets your gynecologist clearly view the cervix. During the colposcopy, your gynecologist focuses on the areas of the cervix where light does not pass through. Abnormal cervical changes are seen as white areas and the whiter the area, the more suspicious for cervical dysplasia. These are the areas your provider will biopsy. You may be asked to return to the office for results and to discuss further management for your abnormal Pap smear. Many conditions diagnosed through a colposcopy are followed in a minimalist manner by annual Pap smear with HPV testing. Additionally, we will want all women age 45 and under to be proactive about preventing these problems with HPV vaccinations.
- GynecologyAtlanta Gynecology and Obstacles was referred to me by a co-worker over 20 years ago I needed a second opinion on Fibroids because I was being told by my male obgyn that a historectomy was the only solution then I met Dr. Julie Schneider who educated me on the different procedures that were available 5 years later Dr. Schneider went into another field of medicine and relocated out of state still impressed with the care I received I chose to stay with the practice and chose Dr. Mandeville who is my current favorite Dr. She's awesome and excellent at her field of work. Love her.

- Labor and DeliveryVaginal birth is the most common way of delivering a child and is the most desired by women. It is our goal to have the highest successful vaginal birth rate possible. Vaginal birth usually results in a shorter hospital stay and recovery time than cesarean sections; however, both vaginal and C-section methods are proven to be successful procedures. We can help you plan your vaginal birth and we’ll be there at every moment to get you and your baby back home as safely and soon as possible. We also offer vaginal birth after cesarean section (VBAC). We will help you decide if this is an appropriate choice for you.
- Cervical CancerThe majority of abnormal Pap smears do not represent cervical cancer. Because the Pap smear can only screen for potential problems rather than diagnose them, your gynecologist may want to take a closer look at your cervix to determine the cause of your abnormal Pap smear results. She will perform an examination called a colposcopy.
- EndocrinologyOur treatment will go as far as prescribing ovulation-inducing drugs such as Letrozole or Clomid. Our care is individualized based on a person’s gynecologic and medical history, age, and personal desire. Additionally, all our doctors can perform laparoscopy or hysteroscopy, which may be required to diagnose and correct problems discovered along the way. If a patient requires the next steps, we are grateful to be located in Atlanta, which offers a wide range of physicians who practice reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI). We truly have relationships with all of the REI groups in Atlanta and can help you choose the one best for you and maintain a team approach to your care. One of our greatest joys is to deliver a healthy baby to a healthy mom who we have guided through a fertility journey.
- UltrasoundOnce a heterosexual couple has attempted pregnancy for six to twelve months, or a lesbian or single woman decides to pursue pregnancy, our providers can start a workup. Basic lab tests to assess ovulation at home, plus semen analysis for male partners, can be ordered. Additional imaging tests such as an ultrasound, which is done in our office, and hysterosalpingogram assessment of fallopian tubes, which is done in other facilities, are also often part of the workup.
