Greedy Service dept.

I brought my Harley in for Winter storage and routine maintenence. I also wanted the bike lowered an inch or two, as I have short legs. After leaving the bike there for thier mechanic to inspect, the first suggestion to me was the most expensive air shock system. Way to much for an older bike. The second suggestion was more in line with the value of the bike. I was ASSURED that the seat height would be lowered at least One Inch. I agreed. In the middle of the work I was called and told that since the front fork assembly was taken apart this would be the time to add Chrome front forks. I agreed. When I came to pick up the bike in the spring, I was told,"Sorry, to tell you but, your seat height is actually ONE INCH HIGHER." They told me they were sorry, but that's just how it came out. But, I would love the ride with the new shocks. They, at my request, threw in two turn signal lenses to soften the sting of disapointment. I was never given back my newer rear shocks which I saw for sale on E Bay the next day. Can't say with 100 % certainty that they were being sold by thier employee, but they matched the photo of my old ones, and it's a strange coincidence isn't it. After more discussion with the Service guy Josh, he agreed to sell me a low rider harley seat for 35% off. He said he would put it on for free. I accepted. What choice did I have? I needed my feet to be flat on the ground for control sake. When the seat came in he installed it and since I was on my bike I had no way to carry the original seat. He told me to leave it with him, it was in a box with my name on it,and I could pick it up at my convienience. End of summer, (couple months,) I go to pick up my seat and they tell me it's gone, they can't find it, they have a 10 day policy, THE BOX HAD MY NAME ON IT> Someone should have called me.I find out that the parts guys get PAID COMMISSION!!! Now, I understand the constant UPSELL! They offered me nothing more than a lame apology for losing (I think SELLING) my seat.Folks, My experience was disapointing to say the least. I would NOT recommend this dealership Service dept and lack of true Customer service to my worst enemy. They are all about the money, That's all that counts, the money. By the way I never even got a follow up phone call as promised, STAY AWAY FROM THIER SERVICE DEPT.

Its nice to walk into Lake Shore at any time the clothing staff is very nice not busy with there phones, and its bigger than Mchenry. When Mchenry moved I thought the clothing would be bigger the show room is bigger that is it. The show room and the service staff are great.
