Will not go to Compustation again! Took in computer with a problem holding the wireless signal (and no problems with charging or power). After 30 days, received the computer back totally dead (no power, no charging capability, no nothing). Shop took no responsibility for any actions which might have caused the dead computer, said the motherboard must have been malfunctioning before it was brought in (there were no previous indications of a problem like that). They were able to save most of my files, so I give them credit for that, but I had to spend $750 on a new computer. Also, be aware that the store hours listed on the door are not what they keep. Call ahead or you'll waste a lot of time making trips there. By the way, I chose this shop based on the previous 5 star rating of one review at this site, so now there is an offsetting review for you to judge by. I would choose zero stars, but there is no such rating. Good luck!

I'd definitely call on Compustation again. I'd had an issue with my fussy Dell laptop's power jack, a problem I'd been told (and backed up by my own research) was a motherboard issue & that I'd be better off giving up and buying a new computer. I called Compustation hoping for a better prognosis and was immediately impressed with the honesty of the rep I spoke with - he told me straight out that there was just a 50/50 chance they could fix it but that he'd be willing to try if I wanted. While at times I did wish for more proactive updates - they did have my computer a bit longer than I'd expected - in the end it was far more than worth the wait. In fact, after ordering the necessary part and failing in an initial attempt at resolving the issue, they took the extra effort to try again - despite having already told me their efforts were unsuccessful - and thus I'm now typing this on a computer I'd given up on. They're honest, their rates are great, & I'd definitely recommend them.
