Founded in 1985, Commonwealth Eye Surgery offers optometry and ophthalmology services as an eye care and surgical services provider and consultant. Its eye care division offers annual examinations and diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, and it also provides glasses and contact lenses. The center uses various diagnostic procedures, including LASIK, photodocumentation, biometric echography, gonioscopy and perimetry. It also uses fluorescein angiography, laser eye surgery and punctual occlusion procedures. The center, along with LaserDocs, offers a refractive surgery delivery system that includes eye care education and surgeries. It also provides clinical and surgical education to optometric externs, ophthalmology residents and practicing ophthalmologists. Commonwealth Eye Surgery is located in Lexington, Ky.
