A few years ago I had declared bankruptcy (when they used to do that I guess) and I went in & met one of the attorneys that said he would do it for a $1000.00. I'm hoping he's no longer there, he said he was a former policeman. He chased me by phone for days "wanting to start" & finally met with him at again. Months went by, he'd never answer the phone for me so I wrote a letter to the board reporting him. I went too long without the service being done, so I had no choice but to report him. Finally after another month or so went by, he finally called & tried to make me feel guilty for making his colleague, the owner do my work for me. He said she had breast cancer & was sick & that was why my case had been prolonged. I told him that would've been something I needed to know but no one there would return my calls. Plus I informed him that I gave HIM the $$ cash to do it so why hasn't he did it. Don't give the former police officer attorney any cash or check because you're service won't be done, or at least that's what happened to me. The female attorney handled my bankruptcy case with care & like a true professional.
