Blue Star Plastics is a custom injection molder of thermoplastic components and a contract manufacturer of plastic assembled products. Founded in January 1984, the company has developed into a leading producer of custom molded products in the automotive, consumer electronics, industrial controls and paper products industries. It operates 16 thermoplastic molding machines that range in size from 45 tons to 720 tons, on a 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week schedule. The company has 20,000 square feet dedicated to its injection molding operation. Its tool room provides support for mold cleaning and maintenance, tool repairs and incorporation of minor engineering changes. Blue Star Plastics is located in Lexington, Ky.
