General Info

Home for Bob Ciprietti is Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. Growing up there and falling in love with the food, tradition, and people of NY inspired him to bring a little bit of home to Delaware. Touch of Italy first opened in the fall of 2010 in Lewes, Delaware and now has locations in Rehoboth Beach and Ocean City, MD. Each ristorante has a salumeria(deli) and a pasticceria (bakery) in house. Although our dining room opens at 11 AM, the bakery and deli open at 10 AM. We are known for our most popular Chicken Parm, our mozzarella, our crispy bread, our internationally recognized brick oven pizza, our pasta, and our eclairs. It's important to us that when you dine with us you enjoy a true authentic Italian experience with good food, friends, family, and great conversation. Stop by for a glass of wine and some good pasta or some meatballs and bread. Regardless of your choice, you won't be disappointed.

Every time I have walked in this place the staff and management, have been inexplicably rude. They're so rude, I wouldn't touch their food no matter how good it was. Even went in there asking for a small food donation for a dinner dedicated to local volunteers (people who keep one of the biggest attractions in town up and running), and the owner responded over and over, "what's in it for me?". The other staff is just as rude every single time I've been there, which hasn't been often. One time I was in and tripped over a basket of bread that was set in the walkway, and the guys behind the counter laughed at me. I'd been angrier had I been more hurt, but their reaction was completely inappropriate to a customer who just fell in their place of business. I've even seen staff getting off work, in uniform, in town being rude! No way I'd support a business who doesn't offer appreciation to the people that support them. Or with employees that are so ridiculously rude, the thought of eating their food repulses me. Most people may not care, but I don't like handing my hard earned money to a business that thinks it's too good for the customers that keep it running. Especially when I can walk down the street and get better.

Keeps its promise as is advertised in window displays. Fine New York Style Italian deli, great variety of cheeses and heros. Sit down lunches and trattoria style bar are excellent--great variety of small plates and small prices.

Have not yet tried their pizza-will do. Pastries very good especially in the pie, cake area. Smaller pastries OK but limited.
