I've had these guys out doing various projects as I've been finishing my basement over the last year. Everyone I've met from their crew has been friendly, helpful, and always taken time to explain things to me. The owner is named Anton. Before he did the jobs, he broke down his charges item by item. (He even told me how much he charges for profit, if you can believe it.) Then he faithfully adhered to his estimate. He didn't keep adding a little charge here and little charge there like a lot of contractors do.



I'm glad I didn't pass these guys up for somebody who gave me estimates that were slightly less than the one Anton gave me. Here are a few things that specifically impressed me. Before framing Anton told me he uses premium select lumber from Home Depot, as opposed to my original builders who charged me for premium select and then used the cheapest stuff they could find. You should have seen the difference. The original framing looked like a hack job put together by high school dropouts compared to the stuff Bercich did. Every time they noticed a potential problem, they stopped what they were doing, explained the situation to me and asked my opinion. And believe me, the original builders had left many problems to work around. Every wall was perfectly square and level. Every door frame was trimmed to the correct height. Every one on the crew was polite and cleaned up messes. After every job they did, I was left in awe at how perfect it looked.



(Now for anyone still reading: one last note). I've had a number of friends finish their basements by themselves, or by other guys. None of them even begin to look as nice as the job Bercich did on mine.
