The Department of Information Technology is a public service agency that works under the government of Loudoun County, Va. It provides information and office automation systems and services to the departments of the Loudoun County government and the public school system, as well as radio communication services to the county s public safety agencies and volunteers. The department also provides support to other county agencies in the areas of telecommunications, central mail, central store and courier services. The Department of Information Technology determines information system needs and provides equipment, software, maintenance, repair, training and other services needed to operate information systems and networks. It is located in Leesburg, Va.
