The Loudoun County Department of Family Services offers various community-based programs and services. It assists families with child care and adoption services; provides foster care for children placed by the court or official entrustment agreements; and coordinates programs to help elderly residents with shopping, transportation and housework. In addition, the department investigates cases of abuse and neglect, conducts family counseling, offers nutritional and financial assistance to low-income families, and assists individuals in employment and training services. The Loudoun County Department of Family Services is located in Leesburg, Va.
