This company owns Hammock Oaks in Newberry, Fl. My brother lived there for about 4 years. Always paid his rent on time. He died on Feb.5,2009 while in the VA hosplital. His security deposit was withheld becauses he didn't give a 30 day notice. I left his apartment spotless. Even the manager stated how clean it was. My brother was so wanting to come back to his home,but I knew he would never be able to and I told the managers ( there was 2) from Sept til Feb. I informed them both that he was not well enough to come home. They offered me sympathy but nobody said I had to give 30 days notice to get the deposit back. I was told to writea letter and they may reconsider. It has been 21/2 months and I have not heard a word, This is not right. My brother is gone. He DIED. And they wanted 30 days notice. Can anyone see this is unfair bordering on illegal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
