We tried several preschools before coming to Little Learner when our daughter was only 2 years old. Now she's 7 and we couldn't be happier. In the past 5 years, our daughter has taken karate classes and computer classes while at preschool. The daily structure also helped her make that transition into kindergarten. The summer schedule is also top notch. You don't have to worry about the kids sitting around all day playing video games or running around outside. Each day the kids have previously planned activities, such as swimming, bowling, Sky Zone, Powell Gardens, skating, etc. When they aren't going on a trip, they have cooking and science days.

My son began this daycare/preschool about 3 weeks ago and he was in the 1 year old room. It was great at first, as I liked the teachers, and I liked that my son was able to interact with the other children. On his 2nd week here, He came home with 2 bite marks on his hand, and the very next day another bite mark on the middle of his back ( all which were very noticeable) I went to the director Angie at that point and told her my concern and she told me that if it becomes and issue then they can look into doing something about it but that it was very normal behavior for 1 year olds, she told me the child had a problem with biting but that they thought they had it resolved it. It was made clear to me that this certain child was a biter and had been biting more children than just mine. The next morning I told my sons teacher to call me if he gets bit again (that way I could go up there and have some sort of meeting to get this under control) well his 3rd week he got bit again on Tuesday by another child who they said never typically bit. I happen to be in the parking lot when this all went down and I herd my son crying from the cracked window, a hurt cry so I hurried in there. 1 teacher was changing diapers and the other was out in the hall telling the director to call me about the bite as I am standing right behind them both I go in and pick him up out of the high chair he was in ( I think the teachers should have picked him up and consoled him before leaving the room to call me) the director asked to speak with me before I left. Before I could even say anything she told me "Maybe Little Learner isn't for you, because biting does happen, this is very normal" "maybe your son needs to be in a setting where there is only 1 other child" and "that the teachers feel as if they are walking on egg shells when Brayden gets bit and I don't like that" "She said we can not do anything unless the biter is biting at least 5 to 6 times a day and other parents are getting upset. She said she can call me when he gets bit but she hates to call over a little bite. I think this is a terrible resolution to the issue I was having, I realize biting happens in a daycare setting but 4 times in 2 weeks and the director of the daycare tells you "maybe this place isn't for you" because your a concerned mom makes me sick to my stomach that people like this even run a daycare. It's about what is the best interest for all the children. Keeping them safe while parents aren't at work and going the extra mile to reassure them that they are doing everything they can. I now know why she didn't believe the center was for me, it was because I was too much work. I was on high alert and made the teachers feel on high alert which they should if they are caring for others children. Highly unprofessional and not the way I would ever want any child I cared about getting treated at this daycare. I pulled my son out that next morning, in fact after the way she handled it he never went back. I am so glad that I decided to pull my son out and I hope that this center realizes it's number one priority is the safety of it's children they are responsible for, and hope they can come up with a better resolution for upset/concerned parents. I wouldn't trust this center to care for my chocolate lab, let alone my baby.
